Laboratory Technician

We are seeking an entry level multitasker to join our growing team. This opportunity includes the ability to learn microscopy laboratory techniques within the support of an established environmental consulting and testing company.

Under supervision of senior laboratory staff, this individual will perform sample preparation, quality control laboratory procedures, microscopic analysis of asbestos air and bulk samples, and participate in our laboratory’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare Phase Contrast Microscopy air samples
• Prepare Polarized Light Microscopy bulk samples
• Perform analysis of Phase Contrast Microscopy air samples.

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.A. or B.S. in Science, Humanities or Technology
• Previous professional experience or internship in environmental, science or laboratory fields.
• EXCEPTIONAL attention to detail skills.
• Microsoft Office proficient, Mac platform preferred and a plus.
