Principals
Glenn Neuschwender, P.G.
President
Mr. Neuschwender is President of Enviroscience Consultants. His main responsibilities include business development, oversight of all corporate activities and services, indoor air quality investigations (including mold contamination), and asbestos training.
He is also the Director for all laboratory and training certifications and accreditations held by the firm, including the EPA National Voluntary Laboratory Approval Program, New York State Department of Health and American Industrial Hygiene Association PAT Program. He is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of all results reported by the laboratory to our clients, and for the technical accuracy of the standard operating procedures.
Prior to forming Enviroscience Consultants, he was Chief Operating Officer of Windswept Environmental Group, Inc., a publicly-held environmental company, and a principal in the firm of North Atlantic Laboratories, Inc.Mr. Neuschwender is a licensed Professional Geologist in the states of New York and Tennessee.
He is the course director and instructor approved to teach asbestos courses for inspector, management planner, air sampling technician, project monitor designer, handler and supervisor. He is also the course director and instructor approved to teach mold courses for assessor, remediator and abatement worker. He also has extensive experience in the fields of asbestos, environmental investigations and remediations, lead paint and indoor air quality investigations.
He has developed plans and specifications for clients as diverse as the US Army Corp of Engineers, Federal Aviation Administration, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Town of Islip, school districts, and large and small commercial companies. He has reviewed and developed management plans for over 200 school districts as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Mr. Neuschwender is responsible for all indoor air quality investigations and industrial hygiene services. His experience includes evaluation of microbial contamination in 100’s of indoor environments, including commercial and residential properties, evaluation of air flow and ventilation, chemical contaminants, respirator fit tests, OSHA compliance programs, and risk assessments and exposure potential measurements.
Bart Gallagher
Director of Environmental Engineering
Mr. Gallagher is Director of Environmental Engineering at Enviroscience Consultants.
He is responsible for all inspection and design services in the field of asbestos and environmental remediation. His experience includes the management of underground storage tanks; hazardous waste identification, handling and disposal; asbestos abatement design, inspection and disposal; and environmental site assessments, including Phase I and Phase II investigations.
Prior to joining Enviroscience Consultants, Mr. Gallagher was a department manager at North Atlantic Laboratories, Inc., and an Environmental Engineer with Northrop Grumman’s Environmental Technology & Compliance Department.
John Driscoll
Director of Asbestos Inspection and Sampling services
Mr. Driscoll is Director of Asbestos Inspection and Sampling services at Enviroscience Consultants.
His responsibilities include development of inspection protocols, sampling methodologies and report content. He has worked extensively in the commercial and public sectors, including over 75 school districts, the World Trade Center, Kennedy and LaGuardia Airports, and the New York and American Stock Exchanges.

Ed Detweiler
Manager of Laboratory Services
Mr. Detweiler is Manager of Laboratory Services, including Polarized Light Microscopy, Phase Contrast Microscopy and Transmission Electron Microscopy services.
He is responsible for all Quality Control/Quality Assurance in results reporting, data accuracy and analyst precision.
Kathryn Loddengaard
Department Manager of Environmental Services
Ms. Loddengaard is Department Manager of Environmental Services, maintains close contact with municipal and regulatory agencies and is responsible for the Firm’s planning, environmental assessment and environmental permitting projects.
Her responsibilities include preparation of investigative studies such as preparation and review of environmental assessments and environmental impact statements, and coordination of the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process, Phase I/II Environmental Audits, geophysical methods (including Ground Penetrating Radar) and subsurface investigations.
Irene Capizzi
Department Manager of Special Inspections
Ms. Capizzi is Department Manager of Special Inspections, and provides oversight within the discipline of special inspections, including the determination of compliance with the design.
Her responsibilities include management of tests or observations that may or may not comply with the design and International Building Code (IBC). Her areas include Special Inspections (both observations and tests) on construction materials (soil compaction, concrete compressive strength, welds, fire resistive materials, etc.) to determine compliance with design assumptions.
Glen Bornhoft
Department Manager of Indoor Environments
Mr. Bornhoft is Department Manager of Indoor Environments, and provides oversight within the disciplines of indoor air quality, asbestos inspection, industrial hygiene and lead in drinking water.
He is a licensed New York State Mold Assessor and has evaluated hundreds of educational, residential and commercial environments for indoor pollutants. He is also a licensed New York State Asbestos Inspector.
